Cacao, also known as theobroma cacao, is a sacred tree fruit native to the tropics, where our beloved “chocolate” comes from. The Plant Queendom cacao comes straight from the indigenous people of Guatemala, made in the traditional ways. Our skilled farmers harvest the cacao fruit, ferment the beans, sun dry the beans, and melt those beans into a beautiful block of superfood goodness.

Cacao is bitter in nature, but becomes what we know as chocolate with an added sweetener. Our cacao does not compare to other chocolates on the market as it is 100% raw and pure, sweeten it as you like and reap the benefits of the antioxidants and high magnesium levels.

Description

Cacao offers a  wide range of benefits that make it cherished worldwide. Some of the benefits of cacao include:

  • Rich in antioxidants - Cacao is one of the richest sources of antioxidants on the planet. These powerful compounds, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and promoting overall cellular health.

  • Mood enhancement - Cacao contains natural mood-boosting compounds like phenylethylamine (PEA) and anandamide, often referred to as the "bliss molecule," which can induce feelings of happiness and pleasure.

  • Cardiovascular health (heart chakra) - Regular consumption of cacao has been linked to improved heart health. Its high flavonoid content supports healthy blood flow, reduces inflammation, and may help lower blood pressure, promoting a healthy cardiovascular system.

I believe cacao gives us what we need, some people consider it slightly stimulating, usually great before movement or dance, while some can enjoy a cup of cacao before bed. Try it out for yourself.

My recipe:

1 tbsp chopped cacao

2-2 tbsp of honey (measure with your heart)

Any herbs you’d like, cacao pairs incredibly with rose or blue lotus

Milk of choice

Hot water

Blend!
